Print it! Color-in Bookmarks for Classrooms and Families
Print, cut, color, and read. Lisa Adib's illustrated, literacy-themed bookmarks give young readers something to make and keep.

Lisa Adib, who illustrates STORYVOR's monthly reading bunny comic, put together a set of color-in bookmarks for families and classrooms. Simply download the file below, print it in black and white on heavy cardstock (250 to 300 gsm is ideal), and cut the bookmarks out with scissors or a paper cutter. Then color away!
Another option? Hand the printed sheet to your children or students during a read-aloud, along with plenty of markers and colored pencils, and let them cut and color while they fall into a story. The designs are all literacy-themed, with quotes and cozy, whimsical illustrations of moons, reading bugs (!), and, of course, plenty of books. The backs of the bookmarks are blank, allowing even more space for creativity.

Reading challenge rewards
The easiest way to use printable bookmarks? Turn them into small prizes. Hand one out when a child finishes a book, reaches a reading goal, or participates in a reading challenge. You can even let them collect different designs. This gives them a sense of achievement and makes reading feel more rewarding without needing big incentives.
Craft during read-aloud
Use the bookmarks as a simple hands-on activity during story time. Children can cut them out and color them in while listening to a read-aloud. Keeping hands busy during read-aloud time can help with focus.
Coloring activities
The fronts of the bookmarks are filled with intricate illustrations of our reading bunny, perfect for coloring in. The backs are blank, leaving plenty of space for students to let loose their creativity and draw, decorate, and color anything they want.
Tip: For best results, print on heavy cardstock (250–300 gsm) so bookmarks are sturdy and long lasting.
