What is STORYVOR?
We are a non-profit literacy website and educational resource based in Switzerland, aimed at promoting a love of reading in young people through free literary resources for parents and educators.
Why do you focus on English-language books if you’re based in Switzerland?
While our organization is based in Switzerland, most of our staff and founding members are multilingual and/or native English speakers.
Also, while we plan to offer resources in other languages as we continue to expand and establish ourselves, we chose to initially focus on English-language publications and translations for one simple reason: English is the most widely-read and published language in the world. We think it makes the ideal jumping off point to speak about literacy, and is also the most likely demographic to make use of our resources and offers. Still, fingers crossed for more languages in the future!
I’m a publisher. Can I send you books?
Absolutely! We work with a range of reviewers around the globe, from parents to teachers, librarians, and literary experts. If you would like to submit a book or new release for review, contact us. Please keep in mind that we’re an independent non-profit run almost entirely by volunteers, so we can’t guarantee placement of any kind.

Can I work for you?
Currently, all our positions are filled. However, we’re open to freelance reviewers and content creators to pitch to us. Feel free to drop us a line!
How is STORYVOR funded?
We are funded by FOUNDATIONS IN LITERACY, a Swiss non-profit committed to global literacy. This resource, as well as all downloads and materials, are completely free. However, to run our magazine sustainably and pay our contributors fairly, we do use affiliate links. If you enjoy our content, and choose to purchase a book based on our recommendations, we appreciate you doing so using the buy links on our website.
